Financial burden, due to the structure of equestrian sport, makes it increasingly difficult to compete at international events. As a short listed candidate for the Canadian Eventing Team, Diana has been awarded a grant from the Canadian Eventing Committee and its High Performance Committee. The grant was designed to help with the high costs of transportation to the Burghley Event in the United Kingdom in the summer of 2009. Diana would like to express her sincere gratitude for being chosen by the Team Selectors as a recipient of this generous grant.

It is thanks to sponsorship and these grants that access to the larger international arena is possible. International competition is a necessary step towards the development of many of our future Eventing Team members. Without the generous support of individual and corporate sponsors, competing for Canada and at the international level would not be possible.

Sponsorship is also available through Eventing Canada. Cash donations made through Eventing Canada are eligible for charitable donation tax receipts for 100% of the donation. Eventing Canada is recognized and registered with Revenue Canada.
